Created by Miguel Torres Carbó as a gift to his wife, Margarita Riera, on Saint Valentine's Day. The garnacha Tinta grape. This variety is the most cultivated Mediterranean grape worldwide. It makes excellent red and rosé wines that benefit from thick and sensual tannins. If the grapes are cultivated in poor soils, with low yields, the red wines can attain a power and expression that is stunning, hence wines made from Garnacha are so sought after. Dark cherry colour with the violet gleam of a young wine. Attractive and intense aroma reminiscent of blackberry jam, with flowery hints of violets and roses. Smooth, silky and fruity palate (blackberry and pomegranate), with very soft tannins that evolve into a pleasant finish.
Ideal with poultry and cured cheeses.Serve at 15-16
